Shadows

Living shadows
on the wall,
reflections of life
being lived.
Leaf and branch
dance and flutter
across the walls
of my home.
Loving shadows
on my heart,
precious memories
cast shadows
that start
and flow
and tell their tales
of past lives lived,
family fables.
Lonely shadows
as night falls.
I sleep and dream
and remember them all
as moonlight casts its
pale shadows
on my walls.

  4. Definitely poetry. Someone (Rumi?) said that poetry was the language of the heart. This definitely qualifies.
