Using Wednesday's Words

Words for Wednesday is a weekly writing prompt designed to get our creative juices flowing.  A group of us take turns monthly providing the prompts which can be used in any way you please...use all or some or none of the words...write prose or poetry...whatever you please on whatever day of the week you please.  This month the prompts have been on Elephants Child's blog (you can find her on my sidebar).
This week the prompts are:
a phrase or saying....'back to the drawing board'
a photo we go

  • Pillowed on clouds the master sat,
  • his countenance looked mighty flat.
  • I've tweaked and nudged 'til I am tired
  • these creatures appear to be hard wired
  • to disappoint
  • he turned to his assistant Janet
  • "what can we do about this planet?"
  • I'm ready to pull out my hair
  • as I watch them running about down there."
  • And from her (slightly smaller) cloud
  • assistant Janet said out loud
  • "blow it up"
  • with a hopeful look
  • as she made an entry in her book.
  • Ah but the master had a soft spot
  • for his experimental hot spot.
  • "No," he said with determination
  • "I will previal over this odd nation
  • of misfits."
  • he roared.

I sure hope he doesn't give up on us.

  1. We all need to get back to the drawing board. That was very good, Delores.

  2. Oh, my, how I love this one!! I hope he doesn't give up on us, too. (Don't know if I've commented before but I check in every day.)

  3. I hope not too. Sometimes it is very hard to see ourselves as anything but a failed experiment.

  4. My feeling is he has not, and never will.

  5. It’s really a great and helpful piece of information. I am happy that you simply shared this helpful information with us.

It's lovely to know someone else is out there. Please leave me a comment...pretty please.
