Poetry Monday

Poetry Monday is brought to us by Diane of On The Alberta Montana Border.  You can find her in my side bar.  Each week Diane provides us with a theme which you can use or ignore.  It primary purpose is to encourage us to write poetry.  This week the theme is "things that make us laugh".

So many things
can make me laugh
but most of all
the common gaffe
when my dear hubs
provides his take
on meals and their ease to make.
That's a snorter for sure.

After spending the better part of a day preparing the meat and vegetables and dumplings for a stew....and after being complimented on the favours and textures within....he ruined the whole thing by saying, "that was an easy meal for you".  Although I will admit that the next days leftovers were a breeze to prepare lol.

  1. He was just ahead of himself. If he had said tomorrow's meal is easy...
And I do love leftovers for just that reason.

  2. The cure for that is to hand them the recipe book and demand they cook for a week. They either learn that it isn't always easy, or they never say that again.

  3. So fun, D!
Yeah . . . about that time, Husby'd be wearing the supper! ;)

  4. you always make me smile lol,, great poem that came from it as well!!!

  5. Oooo, he should have stopped while he was ahead! lol

Good take on the topic this week, Delores. I felt like I was wading through mud before I finally gave up!

It's lovely to know someone else is out there. Please leave me a comment...pretty please.
