Using Wednesdays Words

This month Elephants Child is providing the prompts.  You can find her in my sidebar.  This week the words are:
game, bag, torch, queen, fit, pardon
beach, shadow, orb, chilly, collision, desperate.

"Pardon me, excuse me, sorry, oops."  Jarid squeezed his way down the bus aisle.  His bag and old mag light torch bumped and banged against each and every seat on his way out.  He was desperate to get to the beach and start his Florida vacation far away from chilly South Western Ontario.
The collision his old VW had been involved in nearly put an end to his plans.  He had been 'fit to be tied' until he realised he could bus it to Florida.  It was actually cheaper than driving.  The shadow of misery lifted and his good spirits returned.
The trip down South had been a hoot.  Old Mrs Paxton had kept them all amused with her collection of travelling games.  She was truly the 'Queen of the Bus'.  She rolled her old blue orbs at him and laughed when he addressed her as Her Ladyship.
"Now Jared, lad, I wonder if you could do an old lady a favour?"

  1. Wow. You are quick off the mark today.
And I love it. I hope Jared does do her Ladyship the favour she requests.

    1. She's a bit of a cougar I'm thinking. Jarid may be shocked.

  2. This is lovely. I'm wondering what the favour is and can Jarid handle it without becoming entangled? Maybe it is something completely innocent.

    1. She's a figment of MY imagination...innocent????? Harrdly!!!!

  3. Uh, oh. My hope is the favor does not derail his plans any further.

  4. Another one of your wonderful, happy tales, Delores. Thank you! :)

It's lovely to know someone else is out there. Please leave me a comment...pretty please.
