Hands Off

My purse is sacred.  I kid you not.  This little satchel holds my entire life.  If one thing were to go missing I would start to blur at the edges and if I were to lose the whole purse I would completely disappear.  Everything that is me is in my purse....the cards that prove my identity, allow me to drive, to access health care...all in the purse.  Cheque book, bank book, bank card and credit card...all in the purse.  My shopping list, receipts, the all important chap stick...all in the purse along with countless other things essential to life and well being.  If I lost my purse I couldn't get in my house or drive my car or access the funds in the bank.  I couldn't get a cup of coffee.  So when I say my purse holds my life I mean it.  Therefore, no one touches it but me.  If it isn't on it's own personal shelf in the house it is within my sight always.  Are you paranoid about your purse?

  2. Paranoid? no. But I do always know where it is, usually in the wardrobe (it's a backpack) or by the front door ready to grab on my way out. I don't carry everything with me though, just purse (wallet), coin purse, phone, whatever book I'm reading and if I need any paperwork that day, that will be in there, but otherwise not. My wallet holds the important cards and gets transferred from backpack to handbag to whatever, when necessary.

  3. I was a bit confused at first as to how you managed to get all that into your purse, over her in uk we call a purse the small thing with just the money in it. I think your purse would be called the handbag over here but yes I would have heart palpitations if I lost my bag. I think it would be the thought of having to ring round to get the cards seen to that would be the worst.

  4. I panic if I don't know where my wallet is.

  5. I only take my purse with me when I absolutely have to have it. I either leave it at home or wear this small pocket purse that I wear around my neck that has my phone, ID, a credit card and $20. I have no need to have anything else. Of course, my coat pockets are usually stuffed.

  6. I don't have a purse anymore. DH lost my keys. I have no idea where my S. S. card is. My cards are on a shelf in my desk. One tornado or the like and I would disappear.

  7. I don't carry a purse, but all the necessities go into appropriate pockets as I gather up to leave. When I return, all go into the same place on my desk. I've used this system for forty years. I don't wear a watch, either.

  8. My big purse (or handbag, as Briony pointed out that many people call it) isn't that important to me, but the little purse inside it is - that's the one I lost three times last year!!! That's the one with all the important cards in it, plus what little cash I carry. Paranoid about that one? yep

  10. No, I'm not exactly paranoid about my purse, but I probably would be if I ever lost it. Not too likely to happen, though, because my purse is a red fanny pack. I don't CARE if it's waaaaaay out-of-style or tacky-looking. When I shop, my arms are free and I always know exactly where my purse is.

  11. Yes, your purse is called a handbag in the UK, and I wouldn't go anywhere without it!

    All the best Jan
