Using Wednesday's Words

Words for Wednesday is  a weekly writing prompt designed to get our creative juices flowing.  This month the weekly prompts are provided by River of Drifting Through Life (you can find her in my side bar).

This weeks words are:
refocusing, ,theatrically, unimaginable, olive oil, footrest, relieved
roughly, mythology, disconnected, expansive, campfire and singing.

Here we go:

"A play derived from mythology, roughly accurate, (very rough Aaron grumbled) definitely disconnected from reality...I mean, really now, a group of Norse Gods gathered around a campfire singing Kumbaya?????  Really?????  It's unimaginable."
Aaron strode theatrically to centre stage waving his arms in an expansive gesture that included everyone; actors, stage hands, even the playwright.  "We need to refocus people."
Everyone was, quite frankly, relieved.
"I need to rest and put my feet up." Todd said as he pulled his unicorn head off "and Marjorie will need a quart of olive oil to help her get that ridiculous armour off."

Quite the challenge this week River.  It took me a whole day before the words spoke to me.

  1. The words spoke to you and you used them nicely, well done Delores!

    1. Thanks Jimmie. Really...olive oil? Where DOES she get these words lol.

  2. Nicely done and a great visual image of that unicorn head!

  3. I love this,, so much fun for us and you!!

  4. It sometimes takes me a day or two as well, but you did a fantastic job with the words this week :)
    I like it a lot.

  5. I'm interested in how everyone's working "olive oil" into their writing. So far, it has been very creative.

  6. That was fun, Delores...light, bright and breezy! Well done. :)

  7. I think I'd like to go see that play :)

    Well done once again, D.!

  8. Wow, I like the way you managed to get 'olive oil' in there at the end, clever!

  9. What a hoot! Poor Marjorie. At least her skin would be very soft.

  10. HA! A quart of olive oil to remove some armor? That cracked me up. Well done.

It's lovely to know someone else is out there. Please leave me a comment...pretty please.
