Glad I Bought It

Some things you buy and later wonder what you were thinking.  These are some things I have purchased over the years and remain pleased as punch with myself for picking them up.  No, no one is paying me for saying these things are terrific.  In no specific order then;
Wool Balls......three to a set, these little darlings go in your dryer.  No need for fabric softener or dryer sheets.  Mine are at least three years old now and show no sign of wearing out.  Most health related stores carry them.
Dyson Stick Vacuum....lightweight and powerful this machine makes it possible for me to do my own vacuuming.
Long Handled Swiffer Duster...I just love this thing.  I can reach anything and everything with it.
Leather Combination Over Body Bag/Wallet from The Old Hyde House in Acton.  This thing is lightweight, petite and yet holds everything I need without putting too much strain on my shoulder and back.
My LG washer/dryer combo.  I never thought I would use all those settings but by golly I do.
Berts Bees chap stick...great stuff.
What have you bought yourself lately that is worthy of a shout out?

  1. Not in the same class as your items, but I found plastic-backed puppy training pads that I can use under the litter box on our new hardwood floor for our older cat who sometimes misses the box!!

    Other than that, the last things I was really delighted with were my pin dish for sewing, and my $2.50 deer at Christmas, both of which I blogged about.

    I have tried those dryer balls but I find I still have a great deal of static in the laundry so I stopped. Do you use anything in the wash cycle for static that might make the difference in your results compared to mine?

  3. Like Laurie, I have all I need. And, note to Jenny--no static. Everything I own is cotton. Synthetics make static.

  5. Shelving and plastic storage crates with lids for my garage. Everything that was cramped up into the back porch is now down in the garage I was allocated late last year. Things that I use only once ore twice a year, but can't give away.
    Another thing is usb sticks otherwise known as flash drives, thumb drives etc A few of these in 16GB size, with each one holding between 15 and 20 movies means I can plug one into the player and watch movies all day without getting up to change discs when my back or legs are aching.

  6. I bought a flat screen Smart TV that lets me switch back and forth from regular TV, to Netflix, to Amazon, to YouTube, to Hulu, etc. Now that I have fiber optics I watch as much as I want for as long as I want.

  7. My daughter Mary and husband Richard from switzerland used my heavy vacuum while they were here at christmas. With her baby, we needed to do that every day (Cheerios, etc.). They gave me a Dyson cordless. that is an expensive, but marvelous gift. Love it. Shoulders and hands appreciate it.

  8. I love my LG washer and dryer, too. (I even like the little tune they sing when a load is finished. :) )

    I recently bought some Red Copper pans, and I reeeeeally like them. I also bought a big air fryer. The jury's still out on that purchase. (It does make GREAT sweet potato fries, though!)
