Now I Know

For years I have wanted to go to a Psychic Fair.  The idea appealed to me.  I had visions of me and a host of invisible relatives showing up at a fair and getting messages from all of them.  Every year when the Psychic Fair or Expo showed up in Guelph I asked the hubs if he wouldn't like to go with me and find out what it was all about.  "Not really." was the standard answer, "But you go ahead.  Is it very expensive?"  Which shows you where his head was at.
This year the Psychic Fair is at the Canadian Legion, a brand new building on the outskirts of Guelph.  The fee, I pointed out, is only $10 a head and gets you in for the entire weekend.  I could only imagine the excitements within those walls that could keep you coming back for a whole weekend.   The hubs thought that was pretty reasonable.  We went.
Yes.  We went.   We were there for approximately half an hour.  I can't imagine wanting to go back for more.  I'm cured.   I've been to a Psychic Fair.  I can sleep at night now.  Whoopee.
Was there ever anything you wanted to do more than anything and then when you got the chance found out if wasn't anymore exciting than a box of stale cereal?

  2. Many things. I have found out that the most fun is in the planning and anticipation.

It sounds like you overpaid for your half hour.

    1. The experience wasn't worth $10 a head but the lesson learned was.

  5. Aw, that's a shame, though. It sounds as though it would be interesting. If you were psychic, you would have known it wasn't going to be all that.

  6. Just so many booths of crystals, etc. one can look at. I'd probably just go to a shop if I wanted to do that. Besides all that sound of people chattering can wear me down.

    1. You know it was so quiet in there you could hear a pin drop...all the psychics had people in converence and their assistnnts were sitting at the counters looking like they could use a nap.

  7. I would have wanted to go and see what it was about also. Now I don't have to since you have already evaluated it for me.

  8. I did learn one thing at the psychic fair. One man at a booth was going on and on and finally he asked me if I had any questions....I flippantly replied...what IS the meaning of life. Well, that started him off. He said it was different for everyone and proceeded to tellme HIS meaning of life and then asked me what mine was. I looked him right in the eye and said.......bacon......

  9. My life has been mostly confronted by what I had to do. I have a friend who says she's never had pure fun in her life, and I can see her meaning. I think psychic fairs are for those who believe. I like friends who have studied tarot cards and can "read" them. That's interesting.

    1. I did have the cards read once for me by a Reiki Master I had gone to for treatment....she was right.
