A Message From The Universe

I often get messages from the Universe disguised as "Hey, I just thought....".   The other day we were out running a few errands;  the bank, the grocery store, the coffee shop (okay, that part wasn't an errand) and we weren't quite ready to go home yet.   I thought maybe we'd take a spin around HomeSense.  This is a store I like to go in just for the walking around.  We sort of use it like an art gallery.  Lots of gorgeous stuff, none of which we want or have room for in our tiny house, that we enjoy just looking at.  And so we pulled off the highway and, as we turned into the main lane way in the little plaza, words came out of my mouth that are so unlike me it made my hair stand on end.  What did I say?   "I think I'll pop in to Reitmans while we're here."  Reitmans is a clothing store.  I hate hate hate shopping for clothes.  I like new clothes, I just hate shopping for them because it is such an effort when one side of your body is on strike.  Why in Heavens name would I say something like "Let's go into Reitmans."?   I must be insane.  However, my hands turned the wheel and I found myself parked in front of Reitmans.  Well, may as well go in then I guess.  They were having a massive clear out in preparation for the Spring stock.   Buy one get TWO free.  Yes, TWO free.  I got two pairs of jeans and a pair of pj's for the price of one pair of jeans.  Really.   It pays to listen to the Universe.

  1. Sometimes you need new clothes. I don't like shopping for clothes but sometimes, well, I have to.

Except the universe doesn't steer me towards great sales. Ever.

    1. If it's something I don't need I can pass it up....it's not a bargain if you don't really need it.

  4. The way I should for clothes kind of annoys my wife. I've figured out exactly what I wear, what size I need, and who I need it from and order it all online. It cuts out the needless wandering and wasting of time at department stores.

    1. I wish I could do that but it seems that there are no set standards for women....you simply have to try it on.

  5. How good of the universe to send you in to buy jeans and pjs on sale. Isn't that fun when that happens?

  7. I do listen, but like a person who wants to believe a medium, sometimes I hear messages where there aren't any . . . and second-hand stores are my Achilles heel :)

    You got an excellent deal!

  8. What a bargain! Score one for the universe.
I love my jeans too, but I can't fit into them yet and I refuse to buy yet another bigger size.
Mostly because they cost and arm and a leg out here. I may give in and scour the second-hand shops.
