Oh Boy!

What is it now?  Eleven days to Christmas?  Yikes.   Well all I need to do is keep the place clean and tidy and shop for food items for the day.  Sounds easy but I've got a killer cold and all I want to do is sit and watch the dust settle.  I'm going to drag my weary self out today (-15 here folks) and get my hair cut.  One must be tidy for Christmas.

  2. -15 does not sound like a good temperature to get your hair cut in, for me I'd just comb mine back and wear a hat, but you ladies are a bit more particular than me. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

  3. Feel better soon. I'm just about over the cold I've had for two weeks. On on that note.....I just sneezed again!
I keep thinking that maybe I should get a wig for winter weather as I have very short hair. I used to wear wigs back in the 1970's but stopped after I got married. 1st hubby didn't like them. I shouldn't have listened to HIM. LOL Current hubby has told me to get one if that's what I want. Not much into hats so I do guess a wig would come in handy. Have you ever worn them?

    1. I had a long one just for fun in my younger days. My hair is very short and very fine now....old age you know......I don't wear hats either.

  5. I do hope you feel better quickly. Colds are miserable things out of all proportion to the severity of the illness.
And you are streets ahead of me on the Christmas front. As usual. And it is ten days to Christmas here.

  6. Thanks for the countdown reminder...BAH-HUMBUG!!! I'm still decorating the darn house....although I have done some baking with carrot cakes on the itinerary this weekend & some cookies, cheese balls for everyone probably the 23rd and this year no one is getting crab salad (it was an executive decision since they are all old enough to make their own!!!)....I think I've turned over a new leaf...:)JP

  7. Eleven days and I have done nothing in preparation. I might be able to work towards the tidiness, at least.

  8. No, No, No. Take a day to snuggle down and feel better, then drag yourself out tomorrow.

  10. Get well soon!

BRRRR! Minus fifteen? I reckon I shouldn't complain about how cold it was here when I came out of the grocery store today. (VERRRRY cold for here, anyway.)

  11. I hope your killer cold has been arrested and you feel much better now, Delores. Eight days until Boxing Day Eve, here. And yep, we've had some snow over here. It's like a skating rink in this town.

  12. I did some vacuuming today...and tomorrow I will drag my weary self out to the supermarket to pick up a couple of things - I will pay for them, though!

I hope the cold departs your being very soon, Delores! Take good care. :)
