Poetry Monday

Poetry Monday is the brain child of Diane of On The Alberta Montana Border (you can find her in my sidebar) Jenny of Procrastinating Donkey (also in my sidebar) and myself (the mumbler) joined in...we want more joiners.  You can read, write, critique...it's fun and it's free...what could possibly go wrong?
Each week Diane provides us with a topic or prompt.  You don't need to use it, it's just there in case you need a jump start.
This week the prompt is 'cold'.

a sneeze
a snuffle
a, to the bathroom shuffle
a cough
a gasp
a dry and hacking rasp
I thig I hab a code
in by does
in by head
oh Lordy
I wish I was dead
it's in by chest
and all the rest
of be aches
ad pains
I hab a code
subone call dine wud wud

  1. Oh yes.
A cold makes a body feel miserable out of all proportion to the severity of the ailment. You have captured it soooo well.

  2. Allergies and asthma
    Left me shot
    Until my friend recommended
    A Neti Pot:-)

(I bet it would help remedy a cold also.)

    1. And why, may I ask, are you not participating in Poetry Monday on a regular basis? And yes, it probably would help a cold sufferer to feel better.

  10. In 1993, I didn't get a flu shot. I remember Dec. 26 well, because I was sitting on the floor of a packed Urgent Care, all of us hacking and miserable.
Hope you are able to breathe thru your nose by now.
