CHRISTMAS IS A'COMIN'
A new acquisition. This one reminds me so much of the 'bottle brush' trees my Grandma Peters had.
The lights are turned on but you can only see them on one of the trees. You'll just have to trust me lol.
I seem to have a 'thing' for snowmen, snowflakes and trees
and yes.....
gifts locked and loaded
wrapped and bowed.
All that's left is mailing my Canadian cards, cleaning, food shopping and cooking.
Let the festivities begin!
You are, as usual, way ahead of me.
ReplyDeleteI have bought a couple of gifts. Wrapped none. Posted none. Put up no decorations.
I have made the first batch of Christmas cakes though.
Baking is important. If I remember correctl my gran used to soak hers in alcohol of some sort. Mom didn't soak hers but oh my it was good.
DeleteI love your decorations! All those happy little snowmen. The trees are lovely.
ReplyDeleteMy home is gift free right now, I need to get cracking on that.
Need to start baking the mince pies too.
You do your mince every year don't you? Your family must truly appreciate them and you.
DeleteDown to just enjoying, I see. Have little eyes spotted the gift stash?
ReplyDeleteOh yes....but thety were all wrapped and up high so...no problems.
DeleteLovely decorations, nice and colourful. Greetings!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Welcome to Mumblings.
DeleteI still have your little owl you gave me. He holds a very special place here throughout the year--and especially on Christmas. Pictures to follow . . .
ReplyDeleteI'll bet he's a real 'hoot' at Christmas.
DeleteIt was crossing my mind that you like snowmen just as you got around to saying it :)
ReplyDeleteLoved the tour! And I never thought of putting the finished presents on top of a high piece of furniture. Well, first I would need to clean the dust off ... but it's still a great idea, for kids OR cats.
They stay way up there until Christmas Eve when they go around the tree.
DeleteVery, Very Nice Delores, It is really beginning to look like the season is officially here, we have our decorations up now and really love doing it...by the way Cindy would go crazy over your snowmen.
ReplyDeleteIt's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.......I think my favourite snowman is the wooden one.
DeleteYou have most wonderfully "decked the halls." :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol...'tis the season.
DeleteHey Delores,
ReplyDeleteYour post and magical photos came very close to making me almost get into the spirit of the jolly season.
Thanks for this and here's to um, Boxing Day Eve!
Gary :)
Can't wait to see this years photos of the wee folk amid the Christmas lights.
DeleteGood for you! I'm a real slacker about putting up decorations this year, but maybe you've shamed me into getting my butt in gear this weekend.
ReplyDeleteYay!!!! :)
