Poetry Monday

Poetry Monday is the brainchild of Diane, On The Alberta Montana Border (you can find her in my side bar...please go visit).  Diane decided Mondays needed a little spiffing up if you will...so she invented Poetry Monday.  Jenny of Procrastinating Donkey (also in my sidebar) and myself (the mumbler) joined in.  You can join in too.  We like company.  Diane provides us with a prompt each week which you can use, or not, as you choose.  The prompt this week is 'feet'.

ten little toes
in neat little rows
the colour that,
of a pale pink rose

ten little toes
wriggling in the air
belong to the girl
with the golden hair

just found her toesies
wonder what they're for
before you know it
she'll be running out the door

chubby little footsies
scamper round the house
no one can say
she's quiet like a mouse

tny little toes
don't stay small for long
she'll grow up and leave you
before too long

  1. And aren't tiny toes gorgeous. Something which I cannot say about adult feet.

  2. That's very sweet and EC is right; baby toes are gorgeous. Now you have me thinking of the newborn baby girl upstairs from Pat's flat. She's one month old already.

  4. Cute poem. I, too, like baby toes, no matter the color. Their only requirement is they are reasonably clean. :)

  5. A very sweet little poem. Makes me a little sound I'm a childless shrew who loves silence. At least I can borrow/spoil my nieces and nephews. haha
