Who Said That?

Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.
..........................unknown.............................
Don't ruin today by worrying about tomorrow.  You only get one 'today'.

  1. Your mama was so very right. However worrying is one of my skills and I will admit that I do too much of it.

  2. I know that one and have often said it to some of the worriers I know. Haven't got a clue who said it first though.

  3. the first quote was one of my mum's favourites :) along with 'don't worry, it puts lines on your face'
It's only as we get older that we learn to live in the moment methinks.

  4. I think worrying is an ingrained trait that all human beings has. Only some worry more, and some worry less.
Like Wood Fairy said, it puts lines on the face.

  5. Your mom was very wise. Worrying is my nature, although I have worked on mellowing out these past years, but the times are so trying lately and it is hard to not go back to old habits.

  9. Yes, it does not serve us to dwell on the events that the future holds for each one can change at the blink of an eye. Although, I recently read that someone made this remark, "thinking about the future is bringing it into the present so you can do something about it now." That can be a good thing.
Just depends on what that thing is......

  11. Both of those quotes are terrific. I've never been much of a worrier. Lord knows, in today's world, maybe I SHOULD be, but realizing that my worrying about something won't change the outcome one little iota made me stop doing it a long time ago.
