Spring's Bounty

Pussy willows from our bushes in the back yard.   These bushes were grown from slips from my parents pussy willow trees some 15 or more years ago.  For once the rabbits didn't chew them down to the ground over winter.

  1. How I wish I had saved some of my parent's pussy willows. I will have to track some down and grow them in their memory. Thank you.

  5. Cool. We had a pussy willow tree in our yard when I was a kid. I haven't seen any in many years. I'd forgotten they existed.

  6. Pussywillows have a special little fuzzy place in my heart. They're part of my childhood and they're part of my memories of my father. He loved to walk everywhere, especially in the woods, and was really good at finding (and sharing) natural treasures.
