Good Morning America

Today is the BIG day in the excited states.    A new president will be sworn in and the nation is, understandably, a tad jumpy.  After all, this new man is unpredictable, a 'loose cannon on the deck'  so to speak.  Only time will tell how this will play out for them and for the planet as a whole.  I prefer to be optimistic about the whole thing.  I prefer to believe that this new candidate will, overnight, mature and develop some tact and manners.  It would be sad to think of such a great nation with a clown at its head.  On the other hand, it makes Rob Ford look like a genius.

  2. Develop tact and manners overnight? You're asking the impossible i think. I'm more inclined to hope his 'people' keep him from making too many horrible mistakes.

  3. This is what I want to see. I did not know that the honor guard at the Presidential Inauguration will keep their eye balls frozen on President Obama until President Trump says "...so help me God" and all eyes of the honor guard will shift to President Donald Trump. How cool is that?!

  5. I'm a pathological optimist, but I'm still struggling to hang onto my rose-colored glasses when it comes to the incoming POTUS. I'm reeeeeally hoping he turns out to be be a great president who makes us all proud. ALL, not just the rich heterosexual white guys.

    1. The power circle he is creating is just a tad alarming isn't it?

  6. I'm tending to approach this like a car accident - casting sideways glances so I know what's going on, but mostly just watching my own driving and trying not to create a worse problem ...

  7. As soon as he took the oath, civil rights, climate change, and LGBT rights were removed from the President web page. The GOP in five states has moved to criminalize protests. Things have changed quickly in the US. It is hard to be positive.
