Fun With Words

It’s Saturday and I’m bored.  Let’s have a little fun.  Here are some nifty words:
Creation
Nation
Trepidation
Consternation
Altercation
Inflammation
Improvisation
Lets see what we can do with them.

How It All Happened

God looked at his
brand new creation
with a look that bordered
on consternation.
I’m feeling
 a bit of trepidation
about this latest
improvisation.
This creature
 cannot form a nation
without altercation
and inflammation.

Oh look….squirrel.
Drat, another one got away.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I guess God was a little distracted the day he set us free.

  1. Big smiles. And yes, I suspect that a half decent editor would have had God going back to the drawing board.

  2. The creation of yet another nation caused quite a bit of consternation among the angels, some trepidation too. Some of the angels thought it was a good idea, "the more the merrier" they said, but soon enough there was altercation between the two groups and much inflammation of tempers when God decided that improvisation was the way to go this time.

    1. Little too much improvisation maybe....but then....who are we to criticize.

  3. Here's my try with your words. In our nation of high school students, we have what's known as "Speech" where masses of creation come to life, although much trepidation and consternation (of sportsmanship) occur during their pursuits of improvisation and hopefully few altercations which could result in the inflammation of sadness when your least favorite team walks away with all the trophies.

    1. Good job. Its fun to try to work oddball words into a story isn't it?

  4. Great job! It's hard enough to write poetry, but to work words in? I am in awe!

  5. Well done.

I am trying to hitch up my creative pants.

  8. Hi Delores,

Yep, about time I actually dropped by, no, not literally! :) Sorry I've been so much out of the loop for like forever and a bit. So, typical, I'm commenting at close to two in the morning.

Oh my god, you were spot on with this one. Anything that ends in "tion" has my attention.

Right then, goodnight and good morning from England.
