Words For Wednesday

Thanks to        Carolyn McBridefor the writing prompt this week.  The words are;  boots, cross stitch, hospital, President, planet, fairy, skin and loved.

Here goes:

Casey closed the registration book and signed deeply.  "This hospital is officially full.  We have people sleeping in chairs in the halls, fully dressed with their boots on.  One more person in this building and we'll explode."
"Well," Megs plopped wearily into a chair, "it's all due to our brand new President.  The whole planet is in an uproar.  He's loved by no one, not even those who elected him."
"Our lives before November 8, 2016 seems like a fairy tale now." said Casey.  "Now, we and every mental hospital in the country are plugged full of people, their skins crawling with imagined evil.  I'll tell you, counselling and cross stitch lessons are not going to cut it for this epidemic of misery.  We need some serious hard core drugs."

Why not join us and have some fun with the words.

  1. Amen, and I’m not even religious.
But like the woman interviewed on British TV said: we will be God-facing once again and raise our children the way they’re meant to be raised.

    As morons?

  2. Regarding smaller footprints, I was raised to live with this Earth and not just on it.

I have a quote on my blog I try to follow: Ancient Native American Prayer Let us walk softly on the Earth with all living beings great and small remembering as we go, that one God, kind and wise, created all.

  3. "serious hard core drugs"? That's one way to go, for some people, but I think (hope) the rest are prepared to battle out the next few years with all senses intact.
Great story, showcases what could possibly happen.
